Day 1 – Bodrum, Knidos, Palamutbuku
When you step onto the yacht, you will be welcomed with a “Welcome Cocktail” to introduce you to the captain, crew, and inform you about the Blue Cruise. After the cocktail, you will set off towards Knidos. Prepare yourself for a wonderful journey with Aren Yacht Charter.
Bodrum, one of Turkey’s distinguished holiday destinations, offers ideal conditions for sailing along the Aegean coast. Known as one of Europe’s best cruising areas, Bodrum awaits guests with its crystal-clear waters, hospitable people, azure skies, and natural beauty. Thanks to suitable anchoring spots, Bodrum has become indispensable for yacht and boat tours, boasting untouched settlements and villages worth visiting.
Bodrum, a harbor city in the province of Muğla, has significant tourism potential and was known in ancient times as “Caria – Halicarnassus,” famous for the Mausoleum of Mausolus. You must visit Bodrum Castle, built in the 15th century, and participate in festivals held there. The castle hosts many cultural festivals throughout the year. Additionally, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology inside the castle is a must-see attraction.
Knidos, considered one of the most spectacular ancient cities discovered in Anatolia, is renowned for its impressive ruins and unmatched beauty. At the end of your walk toward the harbor, you will encounter the remains of two Byzantine churches. Enjoy strolling through this historical site, where you will feel history deeply. Knidos, which has been subject to archaeological excavations since 1960, was home to the famous Statue of Demeter, now exhibited in the British Museum. Lion statues believed to protect the harbor in ancient times also decorate museum halls.
After Knidos, you will head toward Palamutbuku.
Palamutbuku, on the Datca Peninsula, is admired for having some of the region’s most beautiful beaches and captivating natural beauty. It provides a peaceful atmosphere where you can instantly forget the fatigue of the entire year. Palamutbuku, located at the end of the ancient city of Knidos, offers crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. Its friendly locals ensure you never feel like a stranger, and its remarkable natural beauty makes Palamutbuku a paradise.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in Palamutbuku.
Day 2 – Inceburun, Datca
Datca, situated between the Aegean and Mediterranean, is legendary for its beauty. According to mythology, Knidos was the city built for Goddess Aphrodite on the most beautiful peninsula, Datca. Historically, Datca was known as a place where Spanish pirates abandoned leprosy patients around 500 years ago, who reportedly healed due to the peninsula’s healthy climate. Enjoy a relaxing walk around its charming harbor.
Day 3 – Bozburun, Bozukkale (Loryma)
Bozburun stands out for sponge diving and building gulet yachts, known for constructing high-quality gulets. Renowned brands collaborate with skilled craftsmen in Bozburun, highlighting the region’s expertise and attracting many international tourists.
Bozukkale is an ancient city believed to date back to the 10th century BC. The magnificent rectangular castle walls facing each other will impress you. It’s presumed the castle got its name “Bozukkale” (Broken Castle) because part of it has collapsed.
Historically used as a recreational area for British naval ships, Bozukkale is currently used as a coastal shipyard. Its strategic location, where all yachts in the Aegean Sea can be observed, highlights its importance. The narrow harbor structure and geographical location have made it suitable for military purposes for many years.
Day 4 – Kadirga Bay, Ekincik Gulf
Kadirga Bay, popular on Blue Cruises, is an ideal stop for a swimming break before sailing to Ekincik.
Ekincik, with its breathtaking beauty, is a secluded, tranquil haven where visitors can relax. Its nearby serene beaches are ideal for boat tours and hiking. Ekincik’s untouched natural environment and pebble beaches promise an excellent swimming experience. You can enjoy water sports such as banana boating and water skiing. Ekincik is peaceful day and night, providing relaxation like never before. If you have time, visit the Sultaniye Hot Springs, just a few minutes away by car. These hot springs, believed to have been in use since Roman times, offer therapeutic benefits for neuralgia, rheumatism, skin diseases, and liver, spleen, and intestinal issues, thanks to their 40-degree healing waters.
Day 5 – Adali Bay, Monastery Bay
Monastery Bay, also known as “Cleopatra’s Bath” or “Sunken Bath Bay,” is recognized for the ruins of a bath submerged in its southwestern waters, featuring a tectonic coastline. Observing the hill closely, you can notice ancient canals that once drained water from a crater lake. Monastery Bay, surrounded by impressive pine and carob trees, showcases the significance of its ancient era with historical walls and ruins.
Day 6 – Oludeniz, Gemiler Island
After breakfast, the journey continues to Oludeniz, famously described as “Heaven on Earth.” Oludeniz delights visitors with its spectacular scenery and beautiful sea. The magical beauty offers an unforgettable sunset framed by lush pine forests, showcasing shades of green, blue, and purple. If you’re interested in paragliding, jump from Babadağ peak, 1975 meters high, to experience breathtaking views. Oludeniz offers more than just tourist facilities, restaurants, and shopping centers—it awaits you with unmatched beauty.
After Oludeniz, the yacht heads to Gemiler Island for dinner and overnight stay.
Gemiler Island, popular worldwide, allows viewing of Byzantine ruins from the sea. Featuring 40 religious buildings, Christian tombs, and rock-carved churches, it captivates visitors. The crescent-shaped bay serves as an anchoring spot and is known for restaurants catering specifically to sailors and yacht enthusiasts.
Day 7 – Turunc Pinari, Samanlik Bay
Named after a freshwater spring and abundant citrus trees, Turunc Pinari is popular among yacht travelers, known for its gourmet restaurants serving local seafood specialties. Kaya village, accessible via beaches and clear waters, marks the starting point for walks from Turunc Pinari.
Samanlik Bay, located 2-3 km from Fethiye, is another picturesque spot ideal for a swimming break.
After the break, the yacht sets sail toward Fethiye for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 – Fethiye
The tour concludes after breakfast at 10:30 AM.
Fethiye, a natural harbor city on the western Mediterranean, is famous for Lycian towns and breathtaking natural beauty. Oludeniz, considered the most beautiful vacation spot near Turkey, serves as an ideal starting point for Blue Cruises. Fethiye’s unique turquoise waters appear green at first glance, showcasing stunning blue hues, especially at sunset. Words fail to fully capture Fethiye’s splendor, so experiencing its unmatched beauty firsthand is highly recommended. Be warned: Fethiye’s charm might leave you enchanted, making you reluctant to leave.
