Day 1 – Bodrum
Upon boarding your yacht for the Blue Cruise, you’ll be introduced to your captain and crew members, followed by a “Welcome Cocktail” where you’ll receive detailed information about your upcoming journey. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Bodrum Harbor.
Bodrum is an ideal starting point for Blue Cruises along Turkey’s stunning Aegean coastline, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, abundant sunshine, fresh air, and welcoming locals. Its protected anchorages make it accessible to all types of marine vessels. The unspoiled natural environment and picturesque villages offer a unique experience with nature.
Located in Muğla province on Turkey’s southwestern coast, Bodrum was historically known as “Caria – Halicarnassus.” It is famous for the Mausoleum of Mausolus. A visit to the medieval Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders in the 15th century, is a must. The castle hosts numerous festivals each year and includes the renowned Museum of Underwater Archaeology.
Day 2 – Orak Island, Çökertme Bay
Orak Island, located 16 km east of Bodrum, is known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and vibrant marine life, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. This scenic island, adorned with olive trees along its hillsides, features secluded bays but no permanent settlements.
After crossing the Gulf of Gökova, you’ll arrive at Çökertme Bay, famous in local folklore and ideally positioned between Kepçe Cape and Karaburun. This sheltered bay is renowned among yachtsmen for its protection from strong winds. Surrounded by pine and olive trees, it offers local restaurants serving delicious cuisine and lively evening entertainment, including oriental dance performances.
Day 3 – Sedir Island (Cleopatra Island), English Harbor
Sedir Island, also known as Cleopatra Island, lies 18 km from Marmaris. Famous for Cleopatra Beach and the ancient city of Cedrae, it features fascinating ruins, including well-preserved city walls and an ancient theater. Legend claims Cleopatra swam here, and the sand was specially imported from North Africa. Ancient inscriptions indicate athletic festivals dedicated to Apollo were once held in its agora.
English Harbor, used as a strategic hideaway by the British navy during World War I, earned its name from this history. Turkish divers discovered pilot remains from British aircraft downed during German occupation of Greek islands.
Day 4 – Karacasöğüt
Karacasöğüt, offering an ideal anchoring spot with a secluded bay and nearby island, is one of Gökova Gulf’s largest bays. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Karacasöğüt.
Day 5 – Löngöz Bay, Tuzla
Löngöz Bay in the Gulf of Gökova is celebrated for its beautiful natural setting and favorable anchoring conditions. Enjoy the lush greenery and tranquil environment before moving to Tuzla Bay, known for its pristine blue waters perfect for swimming. Dinner and overnight stay will be in Tuzla Bay.
Day 6 – Seven Islands (Küfre / Uzun Liman)
The Seven Islands area, particularly Küfre Bay, is renowned for fishing and sponge diving opportunities. With ideal conditions for snorkeling, visitors can explore the vibrant marine life. Nearby Güllük Forest provides picturesque hiking trails through pine-covered landscapes. Martil Island offers solitude with quiet beaches and clear waters. Key anchoring spots include Çamaltı, Gökağaç, Karaağaç Harbor, Uzun Liman, and Küfre Bay, all interconnected by waterways.
Day 7 – Ada Boğazı, Mersincik Bay
Ada Boğazı, named “Aquarium” for its crystal-clear visibility up to 30 meters deep, offers serene swimming conditions. Enjoy peaceful moments in the small secluded bays and clear waters.
Day 8 – Palamutbükü, İnce Burun
Palamutbükü, located at the tip of the Datça peninsula, boasts some of the most beautiful beaches and pristine air, offering unmatched tranquility. Rich in historical ruins from ancient Knidos, this area ensures rejuvenation and peace. Dinner and overnight stay will be at İnce Burun.
Day 9 – Aktur, Bencik Bay
Aktur is renowned for its exceptionally high oxygen levels, often referred to as “the oxygen tank of the world.” This popular tourism destination provides excellent hospitality. Bencik Bay, located at the narrowest part separating Gökova and Hisarönü Gulfs, welcomes guests with breathtaking views.
Day 10 – Emel Sayın Bay, Orhaniye Bay
After breakfast, sail to Emel Sayın Bay, named after the famous Turkish classical music singer. Enjoy the clear waters and fragrant pine trees, perfect for relaxation. This scenic and economical destination is known for its warm hospitality.
Day 11 – Selimiye Bay
Selimiye Bay, historically known as Hydas, offers stunning sunset views and numerous ancient ruins, including watchtowers, a lighthouse, a monastery, and a theater. Known for its clear waters, abundant local produce, and welcoming residents, it’s a popular stop for yachts and archaeological enthusiasts alike.
Day 12 – Dirsekbükü, Bozburun
Dirsekbükü, strategically located between the Aegean and Hisarönü Gulfs, is a favored resting point with many protected anchorages. Bozburun, renowned for its sponge diving and yacht construction industries, has gained international recognition as a key maritime hub.
Day 13 – Datça, Knidos (Cnidos)
Founded by the Dorians, Datça lies between the Aegean and Mediterranean. The ancient city of Knidos is renowned for its magnificent ruins and stunning views, described historically as a city built for Aphrodite. Explore well-preserved theaters, churches, and historic sites. Knidos remains a significant archaeological destination.
Day 14 – Karaada, Meteor Bay, Poyraz Harbor
Karaada, located 5 km from Bodrum, is famed for sulfuric waters and therapeutic mud baths. Meteor Bay, named after a meteor crater, features an underwater cave accessible through crystal-clear waters. Poyraz Bay offers ideal diving conditions, rich marine life, and underwater ruins to explore.
Return to Bodrum Harbor for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 15 – Bodrum
The tour concludes after breakfast at 10:30 AM.
