Göcek – Bodrum Yacht Charter (2 Weeks)

Tour Route

Day 1 – Göcek

Upon boarding in Göcek, you’ll be greeted by the captain and yacht crew. Afterwards, enjoy a “Welcome Cocktail” briefing to learn all about your Blue Cruise journey.

Located on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, Göcek sits just 30 minutes from Dalaman International Airport. From the hilltop, admire panoramic views of 12 islands and hidden coves. Renowned as a premier yacht destination, Göcek has emerged as one of Turkey’s—and the world’s—top sailing centers. Stroll the marina to watch moored gulets and motor yachts, then unwind at waterfront bars or sample gourmet dishes at seaside restaurants. Discover other Turkish yacht tour routes via the link.

Day 2 – Tersane Island & Ağa Harbour

Tersane Island, also called Telandria, is one of Fethiye Bay’s largest islands. Its eastern side offers sheltered anchorage against strong winds, while the western side is ideal for mooring. Explore Byzantine-era ruins of ancient seaside homes. In 1922, many residents left Tersane following the Treaty of Lausanne.

Next, sail to Ağa Harbour—a twin-cove anchorage popular with yachts. It’s perfect for swimming, fishing, or hiking along scenic trails.

Day 3 – Ekincik Bay & Dalyan

Ekincik Bay captivates with its untouched natural beauty and serene atmosphere. A quiet alternative to busier bays, its nearby beach is tranquil and pristine. Two kilometers from the shore lies a small marina, where boats depart for Dalyan. Spot local wildlife and wander through rustic village shops and family-run eateries. A few minutes away, the Sultaniye thermal springs—used since Roman times—offer therapeutic relaxation in a lush, lakeside setting.

Day 4 – Bozukkale (Loryma) & Bozburun

Explore Bozukkale, an ancient fortress dating back to the 10th century B.C., famed for its rectangular-patterned walls and nine towers. Once a stopover for British naval vessels, it now serves as a coastal shipyard. In 395 B.C., Athenians used it as a strategic base.

Continue to Bozburun, celebrated for sponge diving and traditional gulet craftsmanship. Home to master shipwrights and premium timber, Bozburun draws global attention as a thriving yacht-building hub.

Day 5 – Datça

Arrive in Datça, founded by the Dorians on the southern tip of the peninsula between the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. Near the ancient site of Knidos, Datça’s tranquil harbor invites a leisurely stroll. Discover how, centuries ago, Spanish corsairs reportedly recovered here instead of perishing—a testament to the region’s healing waters.

Day 6 – Knidos & Orak Island

Visit Knidos, one of Anatolia’s most magnificent ancient cities. Explore its well-preserved theatre, Byzantine church ruins, and ongoing excavations since 1960. Iconic artifacts—like the Demeter statue and lion-protected harbor—are now in the British Museum. Knidos’s necropolis, harbor, and Temple of Aphrodite make it a must-see archaeological attraction.

Then anchor off Orak Island, 16 km from Bodrum. Renowned for vibrant marine life and crystalline waters, it’s a favorite on Gökova Bay tours. Shelter in its olive-covered northern inlet and dive into aquarium-like seas.

Day 7 – Bodrum

Return to Bodrum—Turkey’s Aegean jewel and gateway to countless sea voyages. With bright sunshine, clear waters, ideal anchorage, and friendly locals, Bodrum embodies the perfect start (or midpoint) for your yachting adventure. Its unspoiled villages and natural charm remain intact.

Known in antiquity as Caria–Halicarnassus, Bodrum boasts the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Overlooking the marina, the 15th-century Crusader-built Bodrum Castle houses the Underwater Archaeology Museum and hosts cultural festivals year-round.

Day 8 – Mersincik Bay & Palamutbükü

Explore Mersincik Bay before sailing to Palamutbükü—famed for its stunning small beaches framed by lush mountains. Discover ancient Knidos ruins just 12 km away and swim in waters so clear you can spot a dropped needle. Warm, welcoming locals enhance the sense of peace and happiness in this hidden paradise.

Day 9 – Aktur Bay & Bencik Bay

Aktur Bay—often dubbed “Turkey’s most beautiful cove”—is enveloped by fragrant pine forests and offers oxygen-rich air. Split into two sections, it’s a vibrant tourism hub. Then venture into the narrow entrance of Bencik Bay, where breathtaking vistas await between Hisarönü and Gökova Gulf.

Day 10 – Emel Sayın Bay, Orhaniye Bay & Selimiye Bay

Named after the legendary Turkish singer Emel Sayın, this pine-scented bay enchants with clear waters and warm hospitality. Next, enjoy lunch at Orhaniye Bay, famous for its deep blue sea and the unique Kızkumu sandbar, accessible even to large vessels. End the day in Selimiye Bay—ancient Hydas—renowned for sunset views, Hellenistic ruins, and vibrant thyme-scented landscapes. Discover watchtowers, lighthouses, and monasteries before savoring fresh local produce amid olive and almond groves.

Day 11 – Serçe Bay & Kadırga Bay

Serçe Bay, a sheltered Blue Cruise favorite, reveals submerged archaeological finds now exhibited at the Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum. In the evening, sail to Kadırga Bay for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Kocabük, Göbün Bay & Hamam Bay

After a swim in Kocabük Bay, anchor at Göbün Bay—whose narrow inlet is lined with olive and pine trees, offering views of rock tombs and historic ruins. Continue to “Cleopatra” (Sunken Bath) Bay, where tectonic cliffs and channels feed a crater lake. Pine and carob trees cloak the landscape, and an ancient wall hints at the Lycian city of Lydae, reachable by a 1.5-hour hike.

Day 13 – Sarsala Bay & Bedri Rahmi Bay

Sarsala Bay, surrounded by pines and a pebble beach, is a popular overnight stop with a single beachfront restaurant. Then discover Bedri Rahmi Bay—known locally as “Fish Rock”—where Turkish artist and writer Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu painted a fish motif in 1973. Protected from strong winds, this bay features oleander blooms, small coves, and turquoise waters ideal for anchoring.

Day 14 – Olive Island & Yassıca Island

Olive Island, south of Yassıca, is named for its abundant olive groves and hosts a private beach service and an Ottoman-era olive oil mill. Yassıca Island offers a secluded, romantic setting for sunset photography and shallow, sheltered waters perfect for water sports, surrounded by olive and pine trees.

Day 15 – Göcek

On Day 15, enjoy breakfast onboard before disembarking at 10:30 AM, concluding your Göcek–Bodrum Blue Cruise.
